Lyttleton Cottage

By Maja Baska

Our last Winter Newsletter marked the exciting introduction of our new Cooperative Retail Space, with RoseyRavelston Books⤻ and Meltdown Artisan Chocolates⤻ joining the Lyttleton community and sharing a retail space within the heritage Lyttleton building. And we have only grown since then! RoseyRavelston has quickly become a much loved cosy oasis to the north of Lawson, where visitors can lose themselves with a good book and a comfy chair, say hello to Echo the bookshop dog (she loves carrots!), and relax with a coffee or snack from the Co-op… or chocolate, there’s always chocolate!

Meanwhile, the charming once-residential cottage tucked behind Lyttleton Stores has been brought fully into the fold. Under the initiative of RoseyRavelson the Cottage has been converted to a multi-use space, providing a Co-working Space⤻ where businesses and individuals can rent a desk and take advantage of the amenities, as well as room for Lyttleton to host workshops and events. This space is also available to hire⤻, with all profits being split between Lyttleton Stores and RoseyRavelston Books.

Not only do these changes provide the opportunity for our community to access affordable, well-positioned and provision, socially conscientious spaces, they have also allowed both Lyttleton and RoseyRavelson to expand their offerings. On any given week you can find the Lyttleton Cottage playing host to a Book Launch, Workshop, Creative Community Event and much more. You can keep track of everything happening at Lyttleton here, and RoseyRavelston here⤻!
