Findhorn Community Talk with Jacqueline Buckingham

0.00

Wednesday March 20th, 6pm- 8pm

The Findhorn community in Scotland is one of the world’s oldest communities, beginning inauspiciously in 1961 when three adults and three children moved to a caravan park in North East Scotland.  Through listening to their inner guidance, working with the nature realms and putting love into everything they did, what grew around them is one of the world’s oldest and most renowned spiritual communities.

In the 1980s the Findhorn Foundation was one of the founding members of the Global Ecovillage Network.  Jacqueline Buckingham moved there in 2011, initially drawn there by its ecovillage credentials; a few years later she was working on the education faculty, co-leading the month-long Ecovillage Training program.

Jacqueline will share her experiences of this long-lived community from the perspectives of a farmer’s daughter and a former eco-warrior.  She will share about the ways in which the permaculture ethics are woven through the fabric of the Findhorn community; the practical ways that permaculture and biodynamic gardening are applied; as well as the spiritual aspects of ‘co-creation with the intelligence of nature’.

The evening will be primarily structured around a Q&A, so if you have been curious about Findhorn and want to know more, this is a chance to get your questions answered.

Bring your curiosity and your open heartedness for an enlivening and inspiring evening.
